How many players?

Yamma is designed for two players.

Is the game appropriate for everyone?

Yes! The game is rated 12+, but anyone old enough to see four in a row could play.

How many cubes come in the game?

The game comes with 40 cubes, each with blue and white faces.

How does the game end?

When the first player gets 4-in-a-row of their color from any perspective, they win!

Can I move a cube once I place it down?

As long as one of your hands is still touching the board, you may continue to move and rotate your cube as you like. Once your hands leave the board, your turn passes to your opponent.

What if no one has made four-in-a-row and the cubes are all used? 

A tie is rare, but possible. Check to make sure you didn’t miss someone’s row of four-in-a-row, then play again!

What does “Yamma” mean?

The creator of the game, Khanat Sadomwattana, was inspired by Japan’s snowcapped Mt. Fuji. The name Yamma is based on the Japanese word for mountain, yama.
